Physicians
DR. MICHAEL E. MANNING
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Manning pursued his undergraduate degree in Biology at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston from 1982 to 1986. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Manning completed his Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, California. He returned to his roots in Scottsdale, Arizona and joined the practice where he once was a patient. Dr. Manning is now President of Allergy, Asthmas and Immunology Associates, Ltd., a busy clinical practice and Medical Director of the clinical research division, Medical Research of Arizona. Dr. Manning has served as president of the Greater Phoenix Allergy Society, the Arizona State Allergy and Asthma Society and the Western Society of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. If you cannot find Dr. Manning busy in the office with patients, tending to research or staying on top of the various societies, you can find him training for marathons and attending ASU athletic events. He and his wife are also passionate and active in animal rescue.
DR. AARON DAVIS
Dr. Davis is a member of American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, American Medical Association, Maricopa Medical Society and Arizona Allergy and Asthma Society. He joined Allergy Asthma and Immunology in 2005. He also participates with Medical Research of Arizona in Scottsdale, and is a Principal investigator for clinical trials involving novel therapies for asthma, allergic rhinitis, HAE (Hereditary Angioedema type 1 and type 2), Rhinovirus induced asthma exacerbations, anti-IL-13 therapy for asthma, and chronic hives/urticarial (as sub-investigator).
Jean A. Nelson, FNP-C
Jean A. Nelson is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) that has been associated with Allergy, Asthma and Immunology for the past 34 years. She received her Associate Degree in Science and Nursing at Iowa Central Community College and her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Arizona State University. Jean completed her Family Nurse Practitioner curriculum along with her Masters of Science degree. Jean graduated from ASU Suma cum Laude and was awarded the Graduate Scholar of the Year 2003 by the ASU College of Nursing. Jean's applied research project assessed the management of the adult asthmatic through support and education.
Jean is a strong patient advocate who focuses on health promotion and offers ongoing patient education to maximize each patient's ability to make informed health care decisions. She enjoys lecturing, both locally and nationally, to educate patients as well as health care providers on the latest advancements in allergies and asthma. Jean is an active board member of the Arizona Asthma Coalition and works to decrease the burden of asthma in Arizona through greater awareness and education.
